Garrett Glassman

Originally from Gurnee, Illinois, Garrett earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Butler University in 2012. Following graduation, he joined Milwaukee Ballet II, where he performed works by George Balanchine, Maurice Béjart, Timothy O’Donnell, and Petr Zahradnicek.

Over the course of his career with Milwaukee Ballet, Glassman has developed an extensive repertoire, performing many of Michael Pink's most celebrated works. His featured roles include Harker and Renfield in Dracula; Drosselmeyer and Fritz in The Nutcracker; James Vane in Dorian Gray; Colline in La Bohème; Pinocchio in Beauty and the Beast; Quasimodo in Hunchback of Notre Dame; John Darling in Peter Pan; Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty; and Prunella (the Stepsister) in Cinderella. His performance credits also include Pink’s productions of Mirror Mirror, Don Quixote, Romeo & Juliet, Giselle, Swan Lake, and Aubade.

Beyond Pink’s repertoire, Glassman has portrayed Madge the Witch in August Bournonville’s La Sylphide; Tweedle Dum and the March Hare in Septime Webre's ALICE (in wonderland); Don José in Mark Godden's Carmen; and contemporary works by internationally acclaimed choreographers including Alejandro Cerrudo, Enrico Morelli, Penny Saunders, Kenneth Tindall, Mauro De Candia, Garrett Smith, Gabrielle Lamb, George Williamson, and Darrell Grand Moultrie

In addition to performing, Glassman has choreographed original contemporary works for Milwaukee Ballet II and the Lake Arts Project. His creations for Milwaukee Ballet's main company include Affixed (2018) and I Do, Don't I? (2020, 2025), both of which premiered at the Pabst Theater.
