Originally from Gurnee, Illinois, Garrett received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Butler University. In 2012, he joined Milwaukee Ballet II, where he was featured in works by Michael Pink, George Balanchine, Timothy O’Donnell, and Maurice Béjart. 

During his time with Milwaukee Ballet, Garrett has portrayed the roles of Harker and Renfield in Michael Pink’s DraculaFritz and Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker, James Vane in Dorian Gray, Madge the Witch in La Sylphide, Tweedle Dee in Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland), Colline in La Bohème, Pinocchio in Beauty and the Beast, Quasimodo in Hunchback of Notre Dame, John Darling in Peter Pan, and Prunella (Stepsister) in Cinderella. 

Garrett has choreographed for Milwaukee Ballet II and the Lake Arts Project. He has also produced original works for Milwaukee Ballet’s Company, creating Affixed in 2018 and I Do, Don’t I? in 2020, both of which premiered at the Pabst Theater.
