Our Outreach
Our Community Engagement programs promote confidence, a healthy lifestyle, and creativity through performances and accessible, hands-on workshops. By introducing ballet to audiences of all ages, we bring the power of movement to life and inspire everyone we reach. These programs strive to break down traditional barriers so more people can share in the power of dance.
Regardless of your background, age or physical capacity, ballet can stimulate and empower you.

Our Impact
Our programs reach nearly 30,000 people each season including more than 75 schools (public and private) and 50 homeschool groups. We visit senior centers, hospitals and hospices, work with local organizations like Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Public Libraries, and Boys & Girls Club.
Inclusive Programming
We believe that ballet can change lives through inclusive progams, in-studio opportunities, and accessible performances.
Our Inclusive Programming focuses on making dance accessible to those with physical or sensory needs. Tour de Force provides adaptive ballet classes for students with limited mobility, such as those in wheelchairs. Our annual Sensory-Friendly Nutcracker alters aspects of the performance, such as lighting, noise level, run time, and more to better suit those with alternative processing needs.
Education & Training
Our Education & Training programs focus on making ballet classes available to those who may be unable to take the traditional student route. During the school year, our Releve program provides three years of free classes to students at three partner schools, while our summer program Discover Dance invites students throughout Milwaukee to a weeklong free dance camp. Workshops are available for groups of all kinds to experience hands-on dance and experience the ballet world behind-the-scenes.
Performance Access
Our Performance Access programs make it possible for different audiences to experience the joy of watching ballet. Our annual summer series Ballet Beat takes ballet outside throughout Milwaukee for a month of free workshops, demonstrations, and performances that are open to the public. Throughout the season, we provide Student Matinee performances at a highly discounted rate for school groups.
