Children's Division

AGES 2-6 // Students begin to assimilate to studio environment. An appreciation and enjoyment of movement is nurtured, with focus on rhythm, basic music counting, and body and spatial awareness.

Beginning Division

AGES 7-10 // Students in the Beginning Division build upon the fundamentals of dance learned in Children's Division. The core skills of classical ballet are established, preparing students for upper levels of study.

Intermediate Division

AGES 10-14+ // Students continue to build their repertoire of ballet skills. Pointe work is introduced, alongside character dance and jazz.

AGES 13+ // The emphasis becomes one of artistic value. Students are challenged 4-6 days weekly with added classes in variations, modern, hip hop, and more.

Pre-Professional Program

Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy offers a robust Pre-Professional Program that educates, trains and prepares students for a career in professional dance.

Intended for recent high school graduates as a post-secondary certificate program or current high school students that display potential for a professional career in dance, the program offers daily intensive training led by senior faculty member and Head of Training for Academy and Pre-Professional Divisions Tatiana Jouravel-Malinkine.
