Intermediate Division
Students take the next step in serious study. Pointe is introduced, in addition to expanding dancers' education into character work and jazz.
Ballet IV
Students continue to build on vocabulary taught in Ballet III and begin to work from 5th position while performing exercises involving weight shifts, pirouettes, and linking port de bras to leg work. More advanced jumps are taught and balance in demi point on one foot becomes regular. Students are expected to retain 4-part combinations and appropriate head and eye focus. Character class is added to teach expressiveness and expansiveness of movement.
Class meets three times per week and students participate in the full school showcase in the spring. Students may be eligible to audition for Milwaukee Ballet Company productions.

Ballet V
Clarity in all work including body placement, feet and arm positions, and linking steps in complex combinations are required of students in Ballet V.
- Students should be able to sustain 90-degree extensions
- Perform simple pirouettes while spotting
- Have an understanding of all Grande positions
- Batterie is introduced in jumps
- Pointe work is introduced in Ballet V.
Class meets three times per week and students participate in an all-school showcase. Students may be eligible to audition for Milwaukee Ballet Company productions.

Ballet VI
Ballet VI is for students ready for more advanced pointe work.
- The complexity of exercises and combinations of movements become more focused
- Grande pirouettes, jumps, and full combinations are learned
- Clear articulation of Batterie in jumps and double pirouettes is expected
- Expansive pointe work is introduced including rolling to and from pointe, strong ankle placements, pas de bourrees en pointe, and one-foot relevé with a controlled descent
- Beginning jazz is incorporated into Ballet VI; Basic jazz technique, terminology, movement quality, and proper execution of rhythms and styles are required.
Ballet classes meet three times weekly and students participate in the full school showcase in the spring. Students may also be eligible to audition for Milwaukee Ballet Company productions.

Ballet VII
Ballet VII is for students who have completed Ballet VI and are at the top level of intermediate study.
- Extended combinations, balance, and full coordination during exercises is learned
- Clear position in Grande and Simple poses is expected along with clear petite allegro with batterie
- Stable, multiple pirouettes and 8 fouetté turns and 135-degree penchée turns at the barre should be accomplished
- Extended pointe work continues
- A second level of jazz is taken to help dancers build an understanding of storytelling and body shapes in dance form

Boys Class II
Boys Class II is a continuation of Boys Class I where students concentrate on steps a male dancer must master.
- Strength, stamina, and elegance are stressed
- It is designed to reinforce techniques taught in classical posture while emphasizing the athleticism of dance, strengthening allegro work, batteries, pirouettes, and presentation skills
- A defined class structure allows learning to take place in the context of safe dance practice
- Classes are organized progressively to ensure that students are prepared for more complex movements as they move through the curriculum.
Students may take Boys Class II as a stand-alone class or in addition to Ballet IV, V, VI, or VII. The class meets twice weekly and students participate in the all-school showcase in the spring. Students may be eligible to audition for Milwaukee Ballet Company productions.
